For the Record

The MAMM Chronicles

In each issue, dozens of women are featured in MAMM articles. As we prepared for this month’s special issue, we at MAMM decided to try and catch up with many of the survivors who were profiled, interviewed or had written for the magazine in its first two years of publication. We wanted to find out what these women were up to — and we thought you might be curious about their lives, too. Some are cancer advocates, some are kayaking, some are spending more time with their children and grandchildren. All are different, and, in their own ways, all of them continue to inspire us.

“Since my last MAMM update in September 2000, I am continuing to perform my one-woman show, The Top of the Bottom Half, and introduced a new keynote for the Sisko Foundation : 'Good Decision-Making', a breast cancer starter kit to help women understand the road ahead and maneuver it like a pro. My latest film project: an independent feature shot with Terrence Mann called 'A Circle on the Cross.' And there's an upcoming play. What's the message here? Life goes on. It really does.”
